Here, you will work in close collaboration with two colleagues within special education and be an important part of our well-functioning and professional Student Health Team, which also includes a school counselor, school nurse, school psychologist, and safety officer.

We offer a position at 80% where you will have the opportunity to work both preventively and promotively with the students' learning and development – during the last years of compulsory school. RESPONSIBILITIES

As a special educator at Åkerboskolan, you will become a key person in the school's work to create an accessible learning environment for all students. Together with engaged colleagues, you will work both strategically and practically, always with the student's best interests in focus. You have a preference for both school development and collegial dialogue.

Here, you will have a varied and meaningful daily routine where you, among other things:

• Initiate and drive the school's student health work together with the student health team and other staff.
• Contribute to developing special educational competence in the work team, where you function as an important conversation partner and inspirer in collegial learning.
• Collaborate closely with teaching teachers to shape individualized interventions and pedagogical solutions that increase students' goal achievement.
• Organize and lead the daily work regarding students' development, with the advantage of being able to use personnel resources from the leisure center to create a holistic approach throughout the school day.
• Conduct pedagogical assessments and draw up action plans in close dialogue with class teachers and guardians.
• Follow up, coordinate, and have an overview of students in need of extra adjustments and special support within the work team.
• Create and manage contacts with external actors, such as the region, special schools, and other relevant authorities.
• Work with both preventive measures and targeted support directly to students, either in the classroom or in smaller groups.
• Contribute actively during handovers between grade levels to ensure a coherent thread and security in the student's school journey.

• Accustomed to working at the individual, group, and organizational levels and seeing the whole picture in the school's development work.
• Flexible and curious, with the courage to try new methods and a desire to constantly develop in your profession.

It is meritorious if you have experience working as a special educator, have conducted collegial supervision, and have demonstrated school development experience. We place great importance on personal suitability.

ABOUT THE EMPLOYER

The Education Administration has the task of fulfilling the municipality's responsibilities within the public and voluntary school system for children and young people, as well as childcare services. This includes family daycares, preschool, preschool class, school-age childcare, compulsory school, special compulsory school, youth clubs, libraries, and cultural schools.
