The position is a combined role within the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) operations, consisting of special housing, day activities, and personal assistance. This is a so-called resource position, meaning that tasks will vary depending on where you are currently working. The operations are located in Edsbyn and Alfta, and the schedule will vary according to the needs of the operations.

Your responsibilities

The foundation of the work involves communicating from the user's perspective, which requires knowledge of the importance of using augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). The work is carried out based on the user's conditions and needs. An individualized and shared approach is the focus of the work and is expressed in the individual implementation plan. Your task is to provide good care, participate in daily routines, communicate based on the user's conditions and use communication aids, participate in day activities, and convey a sense of security while respecting the user's self-determination.

The schedule includes shifts during the day, evening, and night (both awake and sleeping shifts), as well as working every other weekend.

Your profile

We are looking for you who are trained as a Support Assistant or Nurse Aide with a focus on psychiatry and special education, or similar qualifications that the employer deems equivalent. You also have work experience from various LSS operations.

It is also meritorious if you have training in clarifying pedagogy and training in low-affective handling.

You must be able to work with people who exhibit challenging behavior and have knowledge of individuals within the autism spectrum.

You must master the Swedish language in speech and writing, as there is contact with other operations and documentation in Life Care. This also implies that you need to be computer literate.

You need to have the ability to remain calm and controlled even in stressful situations, as unforeseen situations may arise. Great emphasis is placed on your ability to collaborate and how you relate to others in a listening and flexible manner.
