Responsibilities
In the role of mechanic, you will have a varied and technically challenging job where no day is like the other. You will work in a modern workshop environment with service, maintenance, and advanced repairs of heavy vehicles – primarily Scania, Volvo, and Mercedes. What makes your daily work extra exciting is the breadth of our assignments; we focus not only on chassis, but you will become a specialist in complex special vehicles and hydraulic superstructures such as cranes, swap bodies, and waste collection vehicles.
Your main responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting and diagnostics: Identify faults in both mechanical and modern electronic systems using PC-based diagnostic tools.
- Repair and service: Perform planned maintenance and urgent repairs on heavy vehicles, chassis, and engines.
- Work with hydraulics and superstructures: Repair and maintain complex mechanical and hydraulic systems on, for example, cranes, compactors, and lift-dumpers.
- Quality assurance: Take independent responsibility for the entire flow regarding the vehicle and ensure it leaves the workshop in a safe and operational condition.
We are looking for someone who
- Brings broad mechanical knowledge and solid experience with heavy vehicles.
- Has good computer and electronics understanding for troubleshooting and diagnostics.
- Has the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Communicates fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
It is an advantage if you have
- Experience in servicing agricultural machinery.
- Specialized expertise in specific vehicle systems or superstructures.
- A background with broad technical knowledge from similar roles.
