As a Chemical Engineer, you will become part of a team with experienced colleagues who have diverse backgrounds and specialist competencies. The team works with environmental and sustainability issues and collaborates closely with, among others, EHS coordinators, the R&D department, and external experts in chemistry and legislation related to product development and manufacturing within the automotive industry.

In the role of Chemical Engineer, you will work with a wide variety of tasks. Your work will include handling chemical-related processes and global requirements to ensure that operations comply with relevant international laws, regulations, and standards. You will also train design, aftermarket, and manufacturing engineers on current guidelines and requirements within the chemistry and materials field.

Examples of your responsibilities include:

• Monitoring and ensuring compliance with the company's chemical management, governing documents, and products in accordance with EU legislation and other international regulations.
• Defining, developing, and implementing processes, routines, and instructions related to chemical legislation and regulatory compliance.
• Identifying areas for improvement and preparing recommendations to optimize chemical management and control.
• Conducting assessments and audits of working methods, including compliance checks against relevant laws, regulations, and industry requirements.

• Have at least two years of experience working in the chemistry field, for example as a chemical engineer, and experience with chemical management, chemical legislation, environmental issues, or related areas.
• Hold a university degree or Master of Science in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Chemistry, or a corresponding educational background.
• Communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing, as the language is used daily in the work.

It is an advantage, but not a requirement, if you:

• Have previous work experience in a similar role with comparable responsibilities.

This is a consultancy assignment, which means that you will initially be employed by Friday. The ambition from all parties is that the employment will transition to a direct employment with the client after an agreed period.
