Community Security Group (CSG) is now looking for dedicated and professional dog handlers for our new security assignment at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm.

About the Role

As a dog handler at KTH, you will become an important part of the safety and security work at one of Sweden's leading universities.

Your dog team will be used as a preventive and safety-enhancing resource where visibility, accessibility, and a professional approach are central parts of the assignment.

You will meet students, researchers, staff, and visitors from all over the world daily and serve as an important representative for both KTH and CSG.

The duties include, among other things:

  • Patrolling buildings and campus areas with a service dog.
  • Preventive safety and security work.
  • Alarm handling and response.
  • Access and authorization checks.
  • Service to students, staff, and visitors.
  • Reporting and documentation.
  • Handling incidents and deviations according to current procedures.
  • Collaboration with the client, police, rescue services, and other partners as needed.

Start Date

The positions are available from October 1, 2026, which is also the day the assignment begins.

We are looking for you who

  • Are trained as a security guard (VU1 + VU2).
  • Are an approved dog handler with an approved service dog team according to current industry requirements.
  • Hold a valid B driver's license.
  • Have a professional and service-oriented approach.
  • Are responsible, secure, and solution-oriented.
  • Have good collaboration skills.
  • Can work independently and make your own decisions.
  • Have good computer skills.
  • Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • Good command of English, both spoken and written.
  • Have good physical and mental fitness.

Merits

  • Appointment as a peacekeeper.
  • Experience working as a dog handler in static security.
  • Experience from universities, hospitals, or other public operations.
  • Experience with alarm and passage systems.
  • Additional language skills.

Recruitment Process

  • Personal interview.
  • Verification of dog handler certification and service dog team.
  • Written and oral language test in Swedish.
  • Language test in English.
  • Assessment of professional knowledge and suitability.
  • Reference checks.
  • Certificate of good conduct and standard background checks.
