Medicine C3 is a department in constant development. We can always get better and work smarter – for good and safe care and a good working environment.

We are approximately 30 employees; nurses and assistant nurses who care for patients with internal medical diseases. Medicine C3 has 15 care beds. Our main diagnostic groups are kidney and liver diseases, hematology, endocrinology, heart failure, medical gastrointestinal diseases, and medical monitoring during intoxication.

We work in care teams consisting of a nurse and an assistant nurse. During the day, two assistant nurses and two nurses form care teams together for 7–8 patients. In the evenings, one nurse and one assistant nurse are jointly responsible for the care of five patients per care team.

At Medicine C3, we work to strengthen teamwork. The combined competence in the team creates conditions for good and safe care with the individual in focus. Several of our development projects aim to strengthen person-centered care, patient safety, and nursing in acute care.

Your responsibilities

As an assistant nurse, you work under your own professional responsibility and have an important role in the care and nursing of acutely ill patients.

In addition to basic nursing care for acute illness, the assistant nurse's area of responsibility includes a number of different tasks within monitoring, specific nursing, and handling of medical technology products.

Blood sampling, NEWS 2 checks, catheterization, ECG, fall and pressure ulcer prevention, fluid and nutrition registration – just to name a few of the tasks that assistant nurses are responsible for.

Furthermore, as an assistant nurse, you have an important task to create security and well-being for our patients and their relatives.

Together with the nurse in the care team, you work proactively for good and safe care that is based on the individual. Some documentation is included, as well as registering and following up on measurements.

As an assistant nurse, you conduct a nursing round at least once per shift.

Who are you?

You are a basic trained assistant nurse with a focus on acute care and have at least two years of experience from the profession. We consider it meritorious to have work experience from working in acute care.

You see it as an important task that acutely ill receive good and safe care and nursing, and you like to make a difference. You need to have personal maturity – have self-insight, be reflective, empathetic, and responsible.

You like when things happen and can adapt and prioritize based on current conditions. To our team, we are looking for an assistant nurse who is a good team player while also being able to lead yourself. You contribute to a good work climate and a good working environment.

A background check through an extract from the criminal record register is conducted before a decision on employment.
