Care for People with Disabilities

Do you want to make a real difference every day? At our Department for Care for People with Disabilities (OoF), you will have the opportunity to work with a meaningful mission: supporting people of all ages with various disabilities in their daily lives. We are a service provider organization in constant development, and our values of participation, trust, and care permeate everything we do.

With approximately 370 dedicated employees across several units, we offer services including housing with special support, short-term stays, supported living, employment support, accompaniment, and day activities. The HSL (Health Care Services) part consists of three skilled nurses.

We work with a trust-based and salutogenic approach, creating conditions for both a good working environment and high participation for our employees and customers. Here, you will have the opportunity to help shape the future of care and support!

We are now looking for a nurse for a permanent position. We have a non-hierarchical and supportive work climate where we help each other and develop together. Here, you will have the opportunity to work with participation, working environment, and development, always with the customer at the center.

We within the LSS (Support and Service for Persons with Certain Disabilities) operations believe we have one of the most rewarding jobs in Region Gotland – and we want you to experience that too!

Your Responsibilities

As a nurse with us, you will have a central and significant role in the team. You are responsible for individual care and work closely with other professional groups with the individual in focus. Your medical competence makes a difference and contributes to security and added value for both customers and colleagues. You supervise and support employees in the operations, train, and delegate various types of interventions to other staff.

The work is varied and independent – you handle both planned interventions and acute situations. You consult with doctors at health centers, delegate medical tasks to nursing staff, and act as support and advisor in the team.

Working hours are during the day, Monday to Friday.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse, preferably with further education as a district nurse or alternatively further education in psychiatry. A category B driver's license is required.

It is also meritorious if you have experience in the field, supervisory training, or other advanced training, as well as experience with systems such as Treserva and Take Care.

We see that you are secure, stable, and professional. You are responsible, structured, and skilled at planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work. You are self-reliant, can take initiative and make important decisions – but also value teamwork, which is an important part of our way of working.

You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and have good computer skills.

A police record check is required prior to employment.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Selection is ongoing – please submit your application today and take the chance to become part of our fantastic team!
