At our health centre Wisby Söder on Gotland, we actively work to develop Good and Close Care. Innovation, collaboration, and a sustainable working environment are central parts of our approach. Region Gotland has adopted an action plan with a target value of 1,100 registered patients per doctor, and from 2026, all our patient lists will be weighted to 1,100. This is all to create better conditions for both patients and employees. You will have the opportunity to work with your own patient list, with dedicated phone hours, but also to drive development forward in general practice in an innovative and constructive way.

We are now looking for a Specialist in General Medicine who wants to be part of continuing to develop our operations.

The health centre has nearly 15,000 registered patients and around 40 employees. Here, active improvement work is carried out with a focus on efficient working methods, fixed contacts, person-centred care, and a sustainable working environment.

We value the education of our ST (specialist training) doctors, AT/BT (internship/residency) doctors, and medical students, and we achieved very good results in the latest SPUR review.

Your Responsibilities

• Standard work as a Specialist in General Medicine within a multidisciplinary team.
• Opportunities to work with the SÄBO (care for people with disabilities) medical service, short-term care, and home healthcare.
• Mentoring and supervision of trainee doctors and students.
• Opportunities to take greater responsibility related to collaboration with other specialties within the region, based on regional program areas of responsibility.
• Some on-call shifts at our weekend clinic and standby duties from home during evenings, nights, and weekends are included.

Who Are You?

You are a Specialist in General Medicine. Other adequate specialties, such as Pediatrics or Geriatrics, may also be considered.

You are authorized to work within Swedish healthcare and have good knowledge of Swedish, at least at level C1.

Having a B-class driver's license is a requirement.

In your role, you are engaged, solution-oriented, and thrive in both independent work and teamwork. Personal suitability is highly valued.

Checks of license, specialist certificate, criminal record, IVO (Supervisory Board), and personal reference are included before employment.
