There are several specialized care homes distributed across six locations on Gotland. Those of us who work here have the task of helping the elderly around the clock with various measures to create the conditions for a meaningful and dignified life. With the user at the center, we work with individual implementation plans based on our values: trust, care, and participation.

Syrengården is a dementia care home centrally located in Roma, approximately two miles from Visby. The facility has 19 beds distributed over two floors. Here you will find a large garden with walking paths, a pavilion, and proximity to the forest.

Syrengården is certified according to Silviahemmet's care philosophy. Here, nursing assistants, residential assistants, nurses, unit managers, and rehabilitation staff work closely together.

We are now looking for new nursing assistants who want to become part of our team!

Your responsibilities

As a nursing assistant, you will among other things:

  • Perform routine care tasks such as personal care, household chores, medication administration, and other delegated HSL interventions, with a focus on security and continuity.
  • Contribute to a meaningful and individualized daily life through accompaniment, activities, and social interaction.
  • Work with a calm and respectful approach based on each person's cognitive ability and daily condition.
  • Participate in and perform palliative care, providing support to both residents and relatives in the final stages of life.
  • Work based on IBIC and person-centered care, focusing on the individual's needs, habits, and life history.
  • Act as a contact person, including drawing up and following up on implementation plans.
  • Document, communicate with relatives, and handle certain administrative tasks.
  • Collaborate with the unit manager, nurse, and rehabilitation staff to create safe care.
  • Be involved in developing working methods and routines in the operation.
  • Be flexible and, if necessary, support other departments, for example within somatic care.
  • Work days, evenings, and every other weekend.

For the position of nursing assistant in specialized housing, the starting salary range is 29,000–34,000 SEK per month.

We apply individual salary setting. The final salary is determined based on education, relevant experience, competence, and responsibility in the role, as well as with regard to the current collective agreement.

Who are you?

For employment as a nursing assistant, you must have the right to use the protected professional title according to current regulations.

Further education in dementia care, such as Silvia Sister, Dementia ABC/ABC Plus, BPSD, Star-marked, person-centered care, low-affective handling, or palliative care, is meritorious. Experience in supervision and competence development is also meritorious.
