The department has ten care beds and one overflow bed for adult patients diagnosed with cancer across all specialties. The palliative care team is also part of our operations.
We are a well-functioning team with wonderfully dedicated staff who work from a holistic perspective around the patient and their relatives. The team includes doctors, nurses, assistant nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, and social workers.
Staffing is optimized to work from a person-centered care perspective.
We are now looking for an assistant nurse for day and evening shifts at our oncology department.
Your responsibilities
As an assistant nurse at the department, you work closely with patients and perform basic nursing care, medical-technical tasks such as vital signs, blood tests, ECGs, as well as wound care, catheter care, stomas, drains, and urinary catheters. Experienced and dedicated colleagues work on the department. Together, we are responsible for providing care and support characterized by engagement, knowledge, and consideration.
Cytostatic treatment is administered on the department, so you will be required to obtain a cytostatic license for assistant nurses. Over time, you will have specific areas of responsibility that you will oversee with extra attention.
We use TakeCare for medical records and apply a fixed schedule where you work every other weekend.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who have an assistant nurse education and a few years of experience in emergency care within inpatient care. It is valuable to us that you are passionate about your profession and that you, together with us, want to help develop the operations. Experience in palliative care is an advantage.
It is important that you are easy to work with as a person, but also that you are good at working independently and taking initiative. The job also requires you to be stress-resistant and able to remain professional even in difficult situations, while simultaneously being able to inspire trust in the patients we care for as well as their relatives. A high degree of empathy is also an important quality in you.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
A background check via an extract from the criminal record register is conducted prior to the decision on employment.
