About the role

The unit we are recruiting for is called Humana Balans Foster Care and currently consists of 3 Foster Care Consultants based in Luleå. The unit works together with Umeå Foster Care, which has consultants in Umeå, Härnösand, Sundsvall, and Östersund. The Unit Manager is based in Umeå. Our catchment area covers Norrbotten, Västerbotten, Västernorrland, and Jämtland.

As a Foster Care Consultant with us, the job is very flexible, and many tasks can be performed remotely. We require that you are located in or based from Luleå or Norrbotten County.

In this role, you will work with recruiting, investigating, training, and supervising foster homes. You will serve as a professional support in their important mission. We also have close cooperation with our outpatient care and can offer combined interventions when needed.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Recruit, investigate, and train foster homes.
  • Support and guide day-care and foster homes in their mission.
  • Establish and maintain good customer contacts and ensure ongoing written documentation of supervisory efforts.
  • Actively contribute to the development of our consultant-supported foster care through evidence-based methods.
  • Be part of our team while also working independently and taking responsibility for your own cases.
  • Participate in on-call duties (evenings and weekends may occur).

Duration/Working hours: Permanent position, 100%, flexible working hours. A 6-month probationary period applies. Start date: according to agreement.

For this position, you must:

  • be a trained social worker with at least three years of experience from work in municipal social services
  • have a B driver's license and enjoy driving, as the role involves regular travel out to our foster homes.

It is also meritorious if you:

  • have experience in investigating, training, and supervising foster homes or have experience from a therapeutic position.
