Do you like technology, problem-solving, and a workplace where something is always happening? Then this might be the job for you! Swedavia is now looking for a Baggage Technician at Stockholm Arlanda Airport, one of Sweden's most critical and exciting workplaces.

Swedavia is responsible for owning, maintaining, and developing all infrastructure at Arlanda. This is a vital societal function that is open and operational 24/7, year-round, which means we work in three shifts. Our mission is to deliver functionality, capacity, and high availability to our travelers. We are now looking for you who have experience in mechanics, welding, electricity, or control and regulation technology.

What does the role involve? As a Baggage Technician, your main task is to perform technical maintenance on our baggage handling systems. You are a key person in ensuring that the baggage system operates without faults. Through close collaboration with other stakeholders and various parts of the organization, you contribute to safe and efficient operations. The role involves heavy lifting and working at heights.

The duties include

• Preventive and periodic maintenance.
• Handling urgent repairs/troubleshooting and resetting various alarms in the baggage system.
• Improvement work.

In working with our baggage systems, you will encounter electrical installations, IT, control systems, mechanics, and pneumatics. Welding and construction work also occur. Therefore, we will use theoretical and physical work tests during this recruitment process.

Who are you? We are looking for someone who has

• Upper secondary education in a relevant field or equivalent education/experience.
• Technical experience in areas such as mechanics, electricity, PLC, welding, control and regulation technology, or construction work.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Good computer skills.
• Good physical condition.
• You are receptive, collaborative, and able to work independently.
• You are flexible and stress-resistant.
• You can prioritize important and urgent tasks.
• You have the ability to structure your work.
• You can make your own decisions.
• Valid B driver's license.

Merits It is meritorious if you have experience with AI, technical maintenance, troubleshooting, and operation of larger systems and/or technical facilities. Experience working in complex environments with high demands for availability and safety is seen as an advantage.
