About the operations

The facility in Huddinge is a shredding plant where we receive and handle material flows from various customers. The material usually consists of iron and metal that is processed in our shredder (mill) and then sent to our own facilities for further refining. You will become part of a maintenance team of four people and work closely with production staff in your daily work.

About the role

As a maintenance technician, you play a central role in ensuring stable operations and high availability at the facility. You perform both preventive and corrective maintenance – with a focus on minimizing disruptions and creating long-term improvements.

The work takes place close to production, where you are out in the facility daily to observe, troubleshoot, and rectify issues. An important part of the role is also to document and follow up on work in our maintenance system.

Your responsibilities include among other things:

• Perform corrective maintenance during operational disruptions to quickly restore production
• Work preventively with lubrication, adjustments, component replacements, and inspections
• Check and monitor the function of conveyor belts, bearings, rollers, and auxiliary equipment
• Identify deviations and document them in MaintMaster
• Participate in troubleshooting, repairs, and improvement work within areas such as hydraulics
• Contribute to the development of working methods, instructions, and a more independent maintenance team

Working hours are rotating two shifts according to the following schedule:

• Morning shift: Monday–Thursday 06:00–14:00, Friday 06:00–12:00
• Evening shift: Monday–Thursday 15:00–23:00, Friday 09:00–15:00

You are not afraid to get your hands dirty when needed – and see the variety in the work as a strength.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of relevant work experience
• Good experience in working with maintenance and mechanical tasks
• Experience with basic welding and forging
• High school education
• Good computer skills
• Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Valid driver's license (Category B)

Meritorious qualifications:

• Experience in industrial maintenance, for example within heavy industry or similar operations
• Mechanical or automotive engineering education
• Knowledge of hydraulics and basic automation
• Experience with maintenance systems, such as MaintMaster
• Forklift, crane, or lift license
• Certifications for hot work or equivalent
