Our Operations

The Academic Children's Hospital is the small hospital in the big world, with four inpatient wards and a large outpatient service. We have high specialist competence in many medical areas. Within the section for specialized pediatrics, nine specialist clinics are gathered, taking responsibility for children with allergies, diabetes, endocrinology, gastroenterology, HIV, cardiology, lung disease, obesity, nephrology, and rheumatology.

Your Role

The Overweight Clinic works with children and adolescents with severe obesity, where the risk of comorbidities is high. The care is family-centered and provided in teams consisting of doctors, dietitians, psychologists, and nurses.

As a nurse, you have a central and varied role, involving planning, clinic work, investigation, treatment, and education. The work is carried out both independently and in close collaboration with the team. You meet children and families in different life situations and build relationships that create the conditions for long-term change.

The clinic is also research-active, offering the opportunity to contribute to development and clinical studies.

Your Qualifications

• Registered Nurse, preferably with specialist training in child and adolescent health
• Experience working with children and adolescents
• Experience in clinic work is meritorious
• Good teamwork skills and interest in team work
• Engaged, confident, and independent in your professional role
• Interest in development and preferably experience in improvement work
