Academic Children's Hospital – Nurse for the Overweight Clinic

Our Operations
Academic Children's Hospital is the small hospital within the large, featuring four inpatient wards and a large outpatient service. We have high specialist competence in many medical areas. Within the section for specialized pediatrics, there are nine specialist clinics combined that are responsible for children with allergies, diabetes, endocrinology, gastroenterology, HIV, cardiology, lung disease, obesity, nephrology, and rheumatology.
Your Role
The Overweight Clinic works with children and adolescents with severe obesity, where the risk of comorbidities is high. The care is family-centered and provided in teams consisting of doctors, dietitians, psychologists, and nurses.
As a nurse, you have a central and varied role, involving planning, reception, investigation, treatment, and education. The work is carried out both independently and in close collaboration with the team. You meet children and families in various life situations and build relationships that create conditions for long-term change.
The clinic is also research-active, providing opportunities to contribute to development and clinical studies.
Your Qualifications
- Registered Nurse, preferably with specialist education in child and adolescent health
- Experience working with children and adolescents
- Experience in outpatient clinic work is advantageous
- Good teamwork skills and interest in team collaboration
- Engaged, confident, and independent in your professional role
- Interest in development and preferably experience in improvement work
