Department Pharmacist at Akademiska Sjukhuset

Our Operations

Medicines and Pharmacy constitutes Akademiska Sjukhuset's hospital pharmacy function and consists of the units for medicine supply, medicine preparation, clinical pharmacy, and departmental pharmacy. Within the departmental pharmacy unit, approximately 30 pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and assistants work on tasks such as ordering medicines, managing medicine stores, preparing medicines, and providing competence support to healthcare staff and patients regarding medication management.

Your Role

You will belong to the departmental pharmacy unit and have your workplace at Akademiska Sjukhuset, where you will be part of a group consisting of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and pharmacy assistants. The work is located on a care ward, and you will work as part of the care team. You will serve as the responsible departmental pharmacist, which means you will, among other things, be responsible for ensuring the ward has the medicines required for the care of inpatients, performing certain preparations of intravenous medicines, and maintaining good structure and order in the medicine room. Additionally, you will work on developing and improving the quality work currently ongoing regarding medication management on the ward.

Your Qualifications

You are a pharmacy technician, preferably with preparation competence, or a pharmacist. Previous experience that the employer considers relevant, such as working in teams in healthcare-related work, working in a hospital or dose pharmacy, or working with quality improvement, can be meritorious.

Courses in healthcare pharmacy and an interest in compounding issues and the preparation of intravenous medicines can be meritorious.

Furthermore, you are engaged and have the ability and willingness to contribute to continuing to develop our methods and routines.

Great importance will be placed on personal qualities that can contribute to good cooperation with the ward's staff and operations, such as good communication and teamwork skills.
