Luleå has a campus area that houses most of the municipal upper secondary schools with nearly 2,300 students, located in the city center. Students at Luleå Upper Secondary School are given the prerequisites for lifelong learning by focusing on knowledge, participation, responsibility, and leadership so that they are prepared for working life and as citizens in general. There are many contacts with the business community, and in local steering groups, the business community collaborates with the upper secondary school to create good conditions for students to be well prepared for the time after their upper secondary education.

Job Responsibilities

In the role of vocational teacher in the Electrical and Energy Programme at Luleå Upper Secondary School, you will have the chance to inspire and educate the next generation in electricity and energy. We are looking for an employee who wants to help develop the electrical and energy programme. We are looking for you who are ready to take significant responsibility and participate in pedagogical development. Together with engaged colleagues in the work team, you plan and conduct teaching in the programme's vocational subjects, and you also function as a mentor for the students in a class. You work actively with APL (workplace-based learning), where you collaborate with the industry to give students valuable practical experiences and strengthen their path to working life. Your contribution helps create a learning environment where both knowledge and personal development are in focus.

Qualifications

• You are trained and experienced as an electrician and have broad technical and practical knowledge.
• Interest in educating and guiding young people as well as developing the programme.
• Structured and skilled in planning, adapting, and evaluating.
• Good teamwork skills and the ability to create and maintain good relationships.
• You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both in speech and in writing.

Merits

• Qualification as a vocational teacher in electrical and energy.
• Teaching at the upper secondary level.
• Knowledge and experience in alarm systems.
