About the Role

Do you want to spark curiosity and foster an understanding of natural sciences among young people?

Here, you will have the opportunity to teach chemistry as well as natural science and/or biology in an environment where theory meets practice. The teaching is varied and closely connected to reality – something that permeates our entire operation.

The role involves planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting the teaching. You will collaborate closely with colleagues and other professions at the school, where we see collaboration as a natural part of daily work. You will lead and organize your work to create a safe, respectful, and cooperative learning environment in your classroom.

We have full-time mentors, which means you can fully focus on your teaching – class teacher responsibilities are not included in this position.

You have the ability to make teaching lively and relevant, and you create a safe and inclusive environment where students feel confident to develop.

What We Offer

Ingelstadgymnasiet is located on the outskirts of Ingelstad in a beautiful rural setting, where you will meet students and colleagues daily who have a great interest in animals, nature, and machinery. Community is important to us as the school is both an educational institution and a home for the students during the week. Qualifications:

• Licensed teacher in natural science subjects

The position is subject to a background check, and an extract from the police criminal record must be presented before employment begins.

About Ingelstadgymnasiet

The school is run by Hushållningssällskapet Kalmar Kronoberg Blekinge, which works with knowledge to develop the green business sector.

Just over 290 students attend the school, of whom approximately 240 live in the school's boarding house. The education we offer includes the Natural Resource Programme with specializations in agriculture, animal care, and horse keeping, as well as the Construction and Civil Engineering Programme with a focus on land and construction. We also offer a natural science profile. The school has extensive practical operations including forests, arable/pasture land, animal stables, a zoo, a dog facility, and a veterinary clinic.
