Description

At Munkegärdeskolan, all our 411 students are at the center. We work based on the municipality's keywords: courage, respect, and co-creation. We strive for a good working climate that stimulates students' motivation, sense of responsibility, and desire to learn.

Our school is a 7th–9th grade school with a staff group of approximately 45 employees. We have a comprehensive student health team consisting of school leadership, a special education teacher, a counselor, a school nurse, and a school psychologist. The school's career guidance counselor (SYV) works closely with the student health team and provides students with guidance for future choices. Our students are given opportunities to develop their best selves and acquire good knowledge to feel secure about the future. One of our focus areas is teaching quality, which we work on through clearer systematization and analysis of teaching based on scientific grounds and proven experience. We work systematically to ensure that the work team collaborates on mentoring, planning, assessment, evaluation, and result analysis as our central parts.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a student assistant for a student in the lower secondary school (grades 7–9) on a fixed-term appointment. You will be the student's support in all school contexts and daily routines. You will work closely with the work team and your student assistant colleagues. You will receive supervision and support from our special education teacher and central student health services.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have education in AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) or other experience considered equivalent. You have good knowledge of various disabilities. You have knowledge of tube feeding. You have knowledge of handling lifting, lifting aids, and other technical aids. You need to have good communication skills so that you can collaborate well with your colleagues.

You are flexible and have the ability to meet different students in different types of situations and contexts. You support and help where needed, whether as a substitute or with other tasks. You take great personal responsibility and see what needs exist in the operations.

Experience from healthcare professions and/or as a special education teacher is meritorious. Some lifting may occur.
