Mora Municipality is looking for you who wants to help develop our municipality into a more attractive place to visit, work, live, and reside. As a Planning Architect, you will become part of the Planning Unit, which belongs to the Municipal Executive Board Administration.

The Planning Unit works to create sustainable and attractive environments for many generations to come. In the role of Planning Architect, you will work with physical planning according to the Planning and Building Act. Detailed planning is a central and prioritized task in the unit, but we would like you to have experience with comprehensive planning as well, which will also become part of your duties.

In this way, we ensure good results and effective collaboration both within and outside the municipal organization. Depending on your background, we will jointly assess how to best utilize your skills to achieve good built environments for Mora Municipality.

After dialogue with the manager, there may be an opportunity to work remotely one day per week, but we see that the majority of the work takes place on-site at the office in Mora.

Responsibilities

In the role of Planning Architect, you have overall responsibility for the entire planning process. You design and process comprehensive and detailed plans and drive your own projects, from preliminary work to the planning phase and implementation. You produce investigations, analyses, and are responsible for drafting plan proposals in consultation with other administrations, authorities, consultants, citizens, and developers. The work also includes sketching, investigations, and drafting formal plans. In the role, you act as an advisor in planning matters both internally and externally, answer questions from municipal residents, present cases to our politicians, and participate in operational development.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have an academic degree as a physical planner, architect, landscape architect, land surveyor, urban planner, or other equivalent education, combined with at least one year of experience as a Planning Architect.

We see that you have experience in project management, applying the Planning and Building Act and the Environmental Code, as well as good knowledge of urban construction. You have good ability to communicate clearly in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

As a person, you are analytical, communicative, and structured, and you have a good ability to overview the process and have a holistic view. You are engaged, flexible, and enjoy driving improvement and development work. Furthermore, you are self-reliant and take responsibility for your own work, as well as working together with others in a curious and attentive manner to achieve the organization's goals. We place great importance on your personal suitability.

You are result-oriented and take initiative for development, meeting new challenges and conditions with a positive attitude. As a person, you are service-oriented and find it easy to collaborate both within your own organization and towards politicians and the general public. The work is done in close collaboration with others in the urban planning process, and therefore, collaboration skills are an important attribute.

Furthermore, we would like you to have knowledge of the programs AutoCAD, GIS, and digital plan production, preferably Focus Detaljplan. It is an advantage if you have worked with complex issues in a politically governed organization.

The position may involve travel, and therefore a B-driving license is required.
