We are now looking for our next process operator for the Industry division and our manufacturing operations in Tälle.

Your role as plant operator

During spring, summer, and autumn, we produce hot asphalt that is delivered directly to our customers out on the roads. In your role as plant operator with us at Svevia, you will work in a process-controlled system from our control room, where you will, among other things:

• Receive orders from customers
• Control and monitor asphalt production
• Ensure that the correct material and quantity are produced according to specification

In close collaboration with your colleagues, you ensure that the factory operates optimally. This may also involve:

• Feeding the plant with aggregate via a loader
• Daily supervision and maintenance, such as lubrication, adjustments, and simpler repairs
• Active participation in improvement work and troubleshooting during operational disruptions

We believe in teamwork and versatility – therefore, all our employees are trained to handle all stages of production. Here you are offered a varied job where the different tasks in the plant operator's role make it rarely feel like one workday is like another.

Our operations have higher pressure during the period April - October as it follows the division's other operations. During the winter season, when production goes down, we focus on repairs and improvements in the factory.

This position involves shift work where you will work morning and afternoon/evening shifts. Night shifts may also occur during peak work periods.

As Svevia has several asphalt plants around the country, work at nearby asphalt plants may become relevant during temporary work peaks. The position is full-time and starts as agreed.

Who are you?

To succeed in the role, we see it as a requirement that you have:

• Category B driver's license
• Fluent communication in Swedish, both spoken and written
• Interest in computers

We see it as meritorious if you have:

• Previous experience from working as a plant operator and/or work in asphalt manufacturing
• Experience from heavy industry, process industry, or similar
• Loader operator certificate

As a person, you have a technical interest and are responsible. We also appreciate that you have an interest and are curious about manufacturing processes. You take action directly without waiting and enjoy working together with your work team.

In the role, it is important to be able to keep calm even when the pace is high. Production can be intensive at times, and therefore we are looking for you who have the ability to handle stress in a constructive and solution-focused way.

You also need to have a great ability to structure and prioritize incoming orders – it is a crucial part of the work and affects how well we succeed with today's production. Your ability to plan and act proactively makes a difference for both the team and our customers.

It all starts with a quarry, which then becomes aggregate, which in turn is used in the production of asphalt, which is finally laid on the road.
