Do you want a varied and technical job where you become a key person in asphalt production? As a process operator at Svevia, you become part of an engaged team that drives our asphalt plants together. We are now looking for our next process operator for the Industry division and our manufacturing operations in Tälle.
We are currently undergoing an organizational change, which means we are looking for several driven process operators for our asphalt plants around the country. Do you want to be part of our journey – don't hesitate with your application!
Building and maintaining roads and infrastructure is big. Contributing to societal development is even bigger. With us, you get to do both.
Your role as plant operator
During spring, summer, and autumn, we produce hot asphalt that is delivered directly to our customers out on the roads. In your role as plant operator with us at Svevia, you will work in a process-controlled system from our control room, where you will, among other things:
In close collaboration with your colleagues, you ensure that the factory operates optimally. This may also involve:
We believe in teamwork and versatility – therefore, all our employees are trained to handle all stages of production. Here you are offered a varied job where the different tasks in the plant operator's role make it rarely feel like one workday is like another.
Our operations have higher pressure during the period April - October as it follows the division's other operations. During the winter season, when production goes down, we focus on repairs and improvements in the factory.
This position involves shift work where you will work morning and afternoon/evening shifts. Night shifts may also occur during peak work periods.
As Svevia has several asphalt plants around the country, work at nearby asphalt plants may become relevant during temporary work peaks. The position is full-time and starts as agreed.
Who are you?
To succeed in the role, we see it as a requirement that you have:
We see it as meritorious if you have:
As a person, you have a technical interest and are responsible. We also appreciate that you have an interest and are curious about manufacturing processes. You take action directly without waiting and enjoy working together with your work team.
In the role, it is important to be able to keep calm even when the pace is high. Production can be intensive at times, and therefore we are looking for you who have the ability to handle stress in a constructive and solution-focused way.
You also need to have a great ability to structure and prioritize incoming orders – it is a crucial part of the work and affects how well we succeed with today's production. Your ability to plan and act proactively makes a difference for both the team and our customers.
We look forward to your application!
A part of something bigger
Svevia's industry division is in an expansion phase, and the ambitions are high. The goal is to be a leading player in paving in Sweden.
It all starts with a quarry, which then becomes aggregate, which in turn is used in the production of asphalt, which is finally laid on the road. With over 100 own rock quarries, own production of asphalt, bitumen emulsion, and thermoplastic, we have a breadth that no one else has. In our laboratories, we perform material analyses and ensure that the products meet standards and requirements. And our skilled teams in milling, paving, tank lining, and road marking ensure that the delivery is complete.
Why Svevia?
With us, you quickly become part of the group and we care about being a workplace for everyone. Decision paths are short and it is easy to make your voice heard. At the same time, you become part of a practical reality and a company where concrete results are created with smoking asphalt machines, large snowplows, and tons of reinforcing steel and concrete. With your professional knowledge, you can make a difference on the road. And we always put safety first – both with care for your own working environment and others' security.
For you who want to take the next step in development, there are many opportunities. Both if you want to deepen your specific area or move forward in a supervisory position.
Together we make the city and the countryside function. Do you want to share the road with us?
