Hallsbergs smide AB has been in operation for over 70 years. We currently have approximately 35 employees. Our core values are fast deliveries, high quality, and extensive professional expertise. We operate within three different customer segments: repair/maintenance, contract manufacturing, and structural steelwork.

We invested in a new cutting machine which was installed in 2022.

We possess broad expertise in sheet metal processing and machining. Our focus is on small-batch production, such as prototypes and small series. We work with standard steel grades, stainless steel, and aluminum.

We are currently certified in ISO 9001, ISO 3834-2, and EN ISO 1090-1.

Experience working independently with sheet metal cutting on a CNC-controlled cutting machine (laser/plasma/gas) is an advantage but not mandatory.

Job Description – Main Responsibilities:

• Create daily detailed planning for the cutting machine based on requirements (cutting plan).
• Create control programs for the CNC cutting machine based on manufacturing orders, drawings, and using nesting software and cut files.
• Monitor and operate the CNC cutting machine.
• Handle sheet metal and parts using forklifts and overhead cranes/swing jibs.
• Inventorize sheet metal stock.
• Order gases.
• Request purchase of consumables for the cutting machine.

Your Qualifications:

Experience in welding and/or as an operator of sheet metal cutting machines for various types of materials, primarily black steel.
