About Teaterkrog Culise

Teaterkrog Culise is Helsingborg's urban brasserie, located in the city theatre premises at Kungsgatan 22 in the heart of the city. Here, French flavors meet Scania's local produce in a vibrant environment where food, drink, and performing arts go hand in hand. We serve everything from daily lunches and à la carte dining to theater suppers in connection with performances, after-work events in the cocktail bar, and larger gatherings – a place for everyone and every occasion, seven days a week.

The restaurant seats around 200 guests, and during the summer season, our large outdoor terrace adds another 190 seats. We also have a private dining room for smaller groups and, in collaboration with the theater, can host events for up to 600 seated guests. Culise is run by experienced hospitality professionals and is part of the Blue Tuna Group.

About the Role

As a cook at our kitchen, you are a key person who contributes to ensuring every guest receives an exceptional dining experience. You will work with our French-inspired menu that changes with the seasons – from lunch and à la carte to theater suppers and events. This role is perfect for you if you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy cooking from scratch, and want to help develop both the menu and quality standards alongside an engaged team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and cooking dishes with high and consistent quality according to our recipes and standards
  • Managing your station during service, both in daily operations and at larger events
  • Contributing to the receiving, handling, and control of ingredients, while actively working to minimize waste
  • Following hygiene and self-control routines (HACCP)
  • Collaborating with the head chef and colleagues to develop dishes and menus

We are looking for someone who

  • Has culinary training and/or documented experience from an à la carte kitchen
  • Is accustomed to a fast pace and can maintain quality and structure even under pressure
  • Is meticulous, responsible, and has a genuine interest in food and ingredients
  • Is a team player with good collaboration skills and a humble, non-hierarchical attitude
  • Speaks Swedish and/or English fluently

Merits

  • Experience with French cuisine or brasserie service
  • Experience with event and conference operations serving many guests
  • Experience in menu development
