Malmö Opera is the heart and voice of music drama in Scania. The house opened in 1944 and is centrally located in the Øresund Region, just 20 minutes from Copenhagen. The stage is one of the largest in Europe, and the amphitheater-style auditorium seats 1,500 visitors. We perform classical, modern, and newly composed music drama. Malmö Opera has over 285 permanent staff members and engages 500–700 artists per performance year. During a performance year, we produce over 300 performances for the main stage, as well as for children's, youth, and touring activities.

We are now looking for a canteen assistant/cold buffet server for a casual hourly position at Operagrillen – the canteen, our staff restaurant.

Job Description

As a canteen assistant/cold buffet server, you work within the Food & Beverage Department and are responsible for the staff restaurant.

The work includes, among other things, the preparation and serving of cold dishes, salads, sandwiches, and other cold buffet items. You participate in daily production and contribute to maintaining high quality, good service, and excellent food hygiene. Other common tasks within the kitchen and restaurant may also occur.

The position reports to the Head Chef.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as a cold buffet server and have at least five years of experience working in restaurant, café, or large-scale kitchen operations.

Employment Conditions

The employment is a casual hourly position based on need. Working hours vary depending on operational needs, and work may take place during the day, in the evenings, and on weekends.
