About the Employer

In July, we open the doors to Margretes Badhotell – a historic seaside hotel dating back to the late 1800s, beautifully located by the sea in Strandbaden on the Kula Peninsula. We are breathing new life into a classic environment, creating a seaside restaurant where guests are met with good food, personal service, and a warm atmosphere – equally suitable for a relaxing everyday escape as for festive occasions. We cook from scratch with care for ingredients, quality, and feeling, serving everything from breakfast and à la carte to meal packages and arrangements for our hotel guests and visitors.

Margretes Badhotell is part of Blue Tuna Group, a growing restaurant group in northwestern Scania. We are now building the team ahead of the opening, and you will have the chance to be involved from the very beginning – in a small, tight-knit team in the middle of one of Scania's finest coastal environments.

About the Position

As a chef with us, you are a key person in the kitchen and contribute to ensuring every guest receives an extraordinary dining experience. Since we are opening new, you will be there from the start, helping to establish routines and grow together with the business. You will cook from scratch – from breakfast and lunch to à la carte and festive events. This role suits you if you thrive in a varied pace, enjoy cooking with quality, and want to be part of an engaged startup team.

Responsibilities include among other things:

  • Helping to launch the kitchen before opening
  • Preparing and cooking dishes from scratch with high and consistent quality
  • Being responsible for your station during service, both in daily operations and at larger events
  • Contributing to the receipt and handling of ingredients and minimizing waste
  • Following hygiene and self-control routines (HACCP)
  • Contributing to a good atmosphere and good collaboration in the kitchen

We are looking for you who

  • Have training as a chef and/or experience from restaurant kitchens
  • Cook from scratch with a genuine interest in ingredients and quality
  • Find it inspiring to be part of building something new
  • Are used to a varied pace and maintain structure and quality even when it is busy
  • Are meticulous, responsible, and a team player without ego
  • Speak Swedish and/or English

Merits

  • Experience with startup or opening of a restaurant
  • Experience with hotel and restaurant operations involving breakfast, à la carte, and events
  • Experience with seasonal operations
