The Night Patrol belongs to the Home Care service. Our main task is to create a secure existence during the night for our elderly residents throughout the municipality. We are approximately 60 employees working with interventions approved through social assistance. The target group is primarily elderly persons.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You meet our users in their private homes and in service apartments. During visits, you help them with hygiene, toilet visits, security checks, and security alarms. In this role, you work with documentation in VIVA, implementation planning, and delegation of tasks such as medication, insulin, and wound care. You also serve as a fixed care contact, meaning you are responsible for ensuring that the individual's implementation plans are followed and updated.

The Night Patrol covers the entire Eskilstuna municipality, and the work is divided into areas where you travel by car.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant and hold a Category B driver's license. You must be able to work nights, be open to delegation, and be accustomed to using digital tools in your work. We also want you to feel comfortable driving in the dark. We would appreciate if you have previous experience with documentation in systems like VIVA, work experience within home care and night shifts. It is an advantage if you have worked with the dementia target group, have training or experience in lifting techniques, worked in a planning system, or previously held a representative role.

As a person, you are responsible, as solo work is common. You have a positive outlook and are open to change. Always keeping the user's perspective is second nature to you. At our workplace, we value collaboration highly and would appreciate it if you share our view when collaborating with colleagues, relatives, and other actors. You are confident in your knowledge and convey it in a humble manner. Thanks to your calmness, you can handle multiple tasks at once, even in situations where the work pace is high.

To be considered for the position, you must provide proof of a protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen). You can order this on their website. If you are already employed on a permanent basis in Eskilstuna Municipality, we need to receive a certificate of employment stating the title, type of employment, and duration, proving that you are covered by the transitional rules for permanent employees as of July 1, 2023.

As part of the recruitment process, a language test is conducted. Before employment, you must also show an extract from the police criminal record.
