Description

As an Environmental and Public Health Inspector in Arjeplog Municipality, you will work with supervision, processing, advising, and information within the areas of the Environmental Code, primarily concerning environmentally hazardous activities. The focus can be adapted to your knowledge or areas of interest.

The work includes providing advice and service to our citizens and relevant actors, as well as making decisions in official matters. We have extensive delegation from the committee. The work is varied and involves both office and field work. Qualifications

We are looking for you who have an academic environmental and public health education, or another academic education that the employer assesses as equivalent. Experience of exercising official authority within the environmental and public health area is meritorious. It is also meritorious to have experience of and good knowledge of current environmental legislation and its application.

The work as an Environmental and Public Health Inspector involves many contacts with people. Therefore, you need to be secure in your role, service-oriented, and have a positive attitude towards the work and the people you meet. It is therefore important that you are comfortable in an outward-facing role and have an easy way of expressing yourself well in speech and writing. You must have an engagement for the tasks and the ability to independently plan, structure, and carry out your work. An important quality is the ability to balance between exercising official authority and a more advisory role. At our workplace, customer treatment is important to achieve good results in the long term. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

A B-class driver's license is a requirement.

We use EDP Vision as our case management system. If you have experience with this system, it is a plus.
