Tierp is a municipality with an organization of the right size for you who wants close access to managers, colleagues, politicians, and customers. Here, there is room for both personal development and collaboration within the organization.
Our municipality offers varied living environments, nature near the sea, history, culture, and good service. Tierp has Stockholm, Uppsala, and Gävle within commuting distance and also offers the possibility to work partially remotely.
Our values are important, and together we work to realize our core values: respect, responsibility, customer focus, courage, and faith in the future.
My Future is a project run by the Employment Unit with the aim of supporting individuals in taking steps closer to the labor market and increasing their participation in society. The project is funded by the Coordination Association in Uppsala County and targets individuals aged 16–66 who are registered residents of Tierp Municipality and are far from the labor market. The project runs until December 31, 2027.
The target group consists of individuals in need of coordinated efforts and individually adapted support to move forward into work or studies, approach the labor market, or participate in standard rehabilitation measures from relevant authorities.
Through close cooperation between the Swedish Public Employment Service, the Social Insurance Agency, and the Region of Uppsala, good conditions are created for participants to receive the right support based on their needs. The coordinated efforts contribute to a holistic view where the individual's resources, opportunities, and goals are at the center.
In the project, a dedicated team consisting of an effort manager, two counselors, and an occupational therapist works. To further strengthen the support for participants, the project is now being expanded with a Work Consultant, enabling even more individual-focused and labor market-oriented work.
My Future strives to create sustainable paths forward for each participant – with the goal that more people achieve self-sufficiency, increased independence, and greater participation in society.

Through dialogue and follow-up, you create good conditions for successful work training.
You are also responsible for mapping the opportunities at workplaces and adapting the setup so that participants receive a meaningful and developmental placement. Your colleagues introduce participants, follow up on their progress, and provide support to both participants and supervisors as needed, while you meet the employer's requests and needs.
In your work, you collaborate closely with the Employer Team of the Employment Unit to coordinate contacts, share knowledge, and strengthen relationships with the business community.
