About the assignment

At Novare, we are a proud and approved supplier under one of the National Audit Office's framework agreements. We are now looking for an interim manager for the Swedish Maritime Administration in Norrköping.

As an interim manager, you will assume the role of Acting Manager for Operational Hydrography within the business area of Marine Geography, Production. The group consists of approximately 35 employees working on board ships. Your role includes personnel and work environment responsibility for half of the employees. You are also expected to be able to lead the entire operation when necessary. The work takes place close to other managers, and you will be part of the management team.

We are looking for someone who is communicative and collaborative. You have a coaching leadership style and are skilled at creating engagement.

The position is security classified, and you may be required to undergo register checks and security clearance.

Examples of main responsibilities

• Conduct employee and salary interviews, and coach employees.
• Personnel planning for vessels together with the Manager of Operational Hydrography and the Manager of Hydrography Administration.
• Follow up on work environment rounds, risk analyses, and workplace meetings on the vessels.
• Drive recruitment processes together with the Manager of Operational Hydrography.
• Actively participate in the work of the Production Management.
• Participate in the evaluation and development of the role as Acting Manager of Operational Hydrography.

Requirements for the position

• Documented relevant multi-year experience in leading a first-line group, with full result responsibility, operational responsibility, and work environment responsibility.
• Experience in leading remote teams.
• Ability to provide references from similar previous assignments (within the last 5 years).

Desirable qualifications

• At least one (1) year of experience as an interim manager.
• Experience in leading personnel in 24/7 operations.
• Experience in security-sensitive operations.
• Experience from maritime environments or sea-related work.

Assignment period and scope

The assignment is full-time with a planned start date of 2026-09-01 and lasts for approximately 6 months, with the possibility of extension. The location is at the authority's premises in Norrköping, with some remote work options available. Travel within the assignment is required.
