Your Role

In the role of Section Manager for Production & Installation, you become a key figure within the Support & Execution area, which is part of the FSS - Fighter Simulation & Support Systems department at Saab Aeronautics. The section has overall and coordinating responsibility for the department's assembly and installation of support and training systems for the Gripen.

As Section Manager, you lead a team consisting of eight employees with competencies in production technology, computer platforms, and software installation. The role is both strategic and operational. You work continuously in the operational environment while driving business development, having personnel responsibility, and managing the section's economy. You are also part of the area's management group.

Key parts of the section's mission:

• To bring together and plan for installations and assembly, both locally and at customer sites.
• Close collaboration with the department's delivery operations prior to customer handovers.
• Building a strong and self-sufficient team for installation in various parts of the world.
• Ensuring competence transfer between development and the section.

You will become part of a newly established and curious team where employees are independent, engaged, and communicative. The group is led with the help of an operational leader and is characterized by a strong willingness to work and a sound attitude. As the section is under construction, recruitment and lending of resources are happening in parallel. The goal is for the section to stand on its own feet as soon as possible.

To succeed in the role, we see that you:

• Have a post-secondary education in a relevant field and work experience in leadership.
• Have experience of production and/or logistics operations.
• Have the ability to work with and drive the efficiency of processes and tool support.
• Have good ability to communicate in both Swedish and English.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to current security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
