CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CEO)

The Role

As CEO, you are responsible for driving, developing, and leading the company according to the business plan, under the direction of the Board of Directors. This includes, among other things, continued new customer acquisition, development of the business concept, and the development of existing customer and supplier relationships.

The main areas of responsibility for the CEO role are as follows:

• Deliver profitable growth and selective expansion of niche products/services with higher margins and/or selective international expansion.
• Strengthen and maintain (currently best-in-class) operational excellence and cost competitiveness.
• Lead the company's positioning and strategy regarding sustainability.
• Build a high-performing, safety-driven culture.
• Act as the primary contact point for the owners.

As CEO, you have overall responsibility for the operations; sales, purchasing, personnel, budget, and P&L. You create new ideas and attractive offers for (future) customers. As CEO and Board Member, you are offered a broad and varied role where modern manufacturing, customer and supplier contacts, coaching, and business development are part of the daily work.

Profile

• Experience within metals, steel, building materials, or adjacent heavy industry (preferred).
• Experience in managing and improving operational performance and profitability.
• Experience in international markets and commercial expansion.
• Documented ability to encourage, motivate, and challenge the team to perform at their best.
• Proven senior commercial sales leadership within B2B.
• Experience in purchasing.
• Successful track record in commercial growth, team leadership, and business development.
• Understanding of operational and manufacturing development.
• Experience in driving further development of operations (digital, operational, and sustainable).

You have documented experience in successful sales and preferably also in purchasing. In your personal profile, we also look for business acumen, good financial understanding, and the ability to drive change. You have energetic drive and are skilled at creating a whole that involves both structure and strong development. As a leader, you have a clear leadership profile with a B2B customer-oriented approach, great engagement, and a wise holistic view.

You have a relevant university degree and several years of experience in executive positions such as CEO, Business Unit Manager, Sales Director, or senior management within industrial/manufacturing environments.
