Job Responsibilities

As an electrician at Sandviken Energi, you work on solving technical problems that may arise on our electricity grid in the field. Together with nine fellow electricians, you work on preventive and corrective maintenance, as well as reinforcements and new connections on the grid. The control center manages daily operations, where your task is to perform switching work in our substations located in various places in the municipality. In addition, we perform supervision and rounds of network, distribution, and receiving stations, as well as inspect and maintain equipment in these.

The position includes on-call duty.

Qualifications

You have a high school diploma in electricity or other equivalent education, as well as a few years of experience in the electrical industry. You are comfortable using digital devices. If you have work experience in electricity distribution and electrical power training as a distribution electrician/line worker, this is an advantage. It is also an advantage if you are an EBR-certified distribution electrician.

As a person, you are responsible and capable of working both independently and in a group. You show great commitment to the work, take initiative, are meticulous, and have strong collaboration skills. You have good ability to read and follow instructions as well as to communicate both orally and in writing in Swedish. Most of our instructions are in Swedish, but English may occur.

In meetings with customers and colleagues, you act with good courtesy while maintaining a high safety awareness. You should not be afraid of working at heights, as we perform work on our overhead lines.

A category B driver's license is required for the position.
