About Us

SSIH works with patients of various ages and with different diagnoses, all requiring specialized healthcare. Approximately half of our patients are fully attached to us, often being in a palliative stage of their illness. In these cases, we hold the medical responsibility for the patient's care and manage all their complex needs over time. The other half of our patients are "intervention patients," meaning they are attached to us for a limited period, and we are responsible for a defined task. These patients usually have another clinical affiliation where the medical responsibility also lies.

Your Responsibilities

Working as an assistant nurse in SSIH is inspiring and developing both professionally and personally. The role provides broad competence in nursing as well as the ability to see the whole picture regarding the patient and their opportunities for specialized home care.

As an SSIH assistant nurse, you work largely delegated, handling advanced nursing tasks and some medication management in patients' homes. You can provide care under virtually the same conditions as in a hospital. SSIH makes both planned and emergency visits around the clock, seven days a week. The position involves working hours spread across weekdays and weekends, days and evenings (night work may occur on rare occasions).

Your Qualifications

You applying for this position are an assistant nurse (with professional certification) or a specialist assistant nurse within a relevant specialty, with a strong interest in caring for and meeting patients and their relatives. We would prefer that you have previous experience working outside the hospital, in pre-hospital, basic, or specialized home care/home help services, and have several years of professional experience.

Driver's License: You have a driver's license with category B (for manual transmission cars).

As an assistant nurse in SSIH, you need to be flexible and adaptable in your interactions. The work requires you to be secure, capable of working independently, and making your own decisions. We also believe you have good initiative and enjoy collaborating within and between professions. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
