Job Responsibilities

You will become part of an experienced team working together to support their students in the best possible way. The school also has a competent and fully staffed student health team that works together with the teachers to promote good goal achievement among our students. At Olympiaskolan, we also work together with the students to create an accessible learning environment and good conditions for every student to be challenged in their learning.

Your position will include teaching in core subject courses at the Adult Education: Personal Assistant program. You will teach courses such as basic care and support, people's environments, pedagogical work, and social work. Teaching in other courses within the Child and Youth Recreation Program may also occur, as well as Work Integrated Learning (WIL/APL). You will work on securing WIL placements, WIL visits, and follow-up, as well as participating in Industry Councils and supervisor meetings.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is passionate about their subjects, but even more so about developing young and adult learners. You are a qualified teacher and have experience working with vocational programs. Experience with Work Integrated Learning (WIL/APL) is meritorious, as is familiarity with routines for planning, implementing, and following up on WIL. You have a relational approach and a good ability to adapt your teaching to the students' needs and prerequisites. You are collaborative and take initiative for cooperation and knowledge sharing with your colleagues. You are skilled at reflecting on your own classroom practice and are willing to take a stand in pedagogical and didactic discussions with colleagues. You enjoy working with others and collaborating across subject boundaries.
