Description

We are now looking for a new employee for the day activity center, which is an important part of the municipality's support for people with dementia. Dementia day activities currently consist of three day centers: Ängsbacken and Västersol in central Värnamo, and Solgläntan in Bor.

Here we offer a safe and stimulating environment where our guests have the opportunity for social interaction, activities, and individually adapted support based on their needs and conditions. We work from a person-centered approach where every individual is met with respect, dignity, and care.

Scheduled working hours: 40 hours/week during daytime. We work with resource shifts, which means that you can support other operations if needed to contribute to good quality and continuity for our care recipients.

Job Responsibilities

As a nursing assistant in the day activity center, you plan, implement, and follow up on activities that promote health, participation, and well-being. You work closely with guests, relatives, and colleagues to create a meaningful and content-rich day.

The work includes among other things:

• Planning and implementation of individual and group-based activities.
• Support in daily situations and social interaction.
• Documentation according to current guidelines.
• Collaboration with relatives and other professions.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as a nursing assistant. If you have specialized training in dementia care, we see this as very meritorious. You have approved grades in Swedish as well as good knowledge in both speech and writing.

We would like you to:

• Have experience working with people who have dementia.
• Have a good ability to create security and build relationships.
• Be creative and enjoy planning activities based on the individual's needs.
• Be flexible, responsible, and enjoy collaborating.
• Have a genuine interest in working with older people and people with cognitive illness.

Personal suitability is given great weight.

Conditions

Before an offer of employment, an extract from the police's criminal record register must be presented.

From July 1, 2023, "nursing assistant" is a protected job title, and one must apply for a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title nursing assistant.

A B-driving license for manual transmission is a requirement.
