Your new job

As a nursing assistant (undersköterska), you work on providing personal care, support, and social stimulation to our residents, based on national values. You assist with meals, personal hygiene, and daily tasks such as cleaning and laundry. Your duties also include medication management, acting as a representative, and social documentation in our operational systems. A central part of your work is being a contact person (kontaktman), where you have ultimate responsibility for implementation plans and well-being for certain residents, as well as contact with their relatives.

Your qualifications

We are primarily looking for you who are trained as a nursing assistant and preferably have longer experience from care and elderly care work. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is required as communication, documentation, and reading are central parts of the job. Since we use digital tools for documentation, you are expected to be comfortable handling these. Experience with the Combine system is an advantage.

If you are a care assistant (vårdbiträde) with longer experience from elderly care, this may also be relevant.

As a person, you feel confident taking personal responsibility and can plan and execute your work both independently and together with colleagues. You remain calm in stressful situations, are adaptable, and see opportunities in change. You value the benefits of good collaboration among colleagues and put the team before the individual. Furthermore, you are driven to develop yourself, others, and the operations as a whole. The work requires physical mobility as unpredictable situations arise that must be resolved in a way adapted to the situation.

Welcome to us

Junegårdens Elderly Care Facility is located on Gräshagen in Jönköping and consists, together with the short-term care unit, of 66 apartments. We have a pleasant garden and there are nice walking paths with beautiful nature around the facility. Our team consists of a group of 55 employees.

Good to know

The nursing assistant role is job-evaluated and falls under base group D. The care assistant role is job-evaluated and falls under base group B. For more information about the salary interval for the position, see: Salary and salary statistics (#).

The recruitment concerns 2–3 permanent positions, full-time, with start date as agreed. Working hours are scheduled for day, evening, and weekend, and you work every other weekend. Jönköping Municipality works with full-time as the norm and always offers 100% employment.

You need to be able to work inconvenient hours with every other weekend and be flexible in period planning as this is adapted to the needs of the operations. Resource shifts, which may involve working at all of the facility's units, occur.
