About the Assignment

As a Strategic Buyer, you are responsible for developing and implementing purchasing and sourcing strategies within technologically advanced product and service areas. You drive commercial issues through the entire business process – from market analysis and supplier strategy to negotiation, contracts, and follow-up.

The role involves many contact points and close collaboration with, among others, development, production, project management, quality, and aftermarket. You will become an important part of the work to ensure competitive, sustainable, and robust supplier solutions.

Examples of Tasks

• Develop and implement strategic purchasing and sourcing strategies
• Responsible for supplier segments and strategic supplier relationships
• Drive commercial dialogues, tenders, and contract negotiations
• Establish, manage, and develop contracts within complex business areas
• Conduct market and supplier analyses
• Work with cost optimization, risk management, and supply security
• Follow up on suppliers' performance regarding quality, cost, delivery, and capacity
• Drive improvement initiatives together with internal and external stakeholders
• Contribute to the development of long-term and sustainable supplier collaborations

We are looking for you who

Have experience in strategic and business-driven purchasing work and thrive in an environment where technology, business, and collaboration go hand in hand. You are analytical, structured, and used to handling several parallel issues simultaneously while maintaining a holistic perspective.

You have a natural ability to build relationships, create trust, and drive business forward in dialogue with both internal and external parties.

Qualifications

Requirements

• University degree in economics, engineering, industrial economics, or equivalent
• Several years of experience in strategic purchasing, sourcing, tendering, or similar business-driven roles
• Experience in commercial negotiations and contract work
• Good understanding of supplier markets, business models, and total cost perspectives
• Experience working cross-functionally in larger organizations
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Merits

• Experience from technology-intensive industries such as defense, aviation, energy, manufacturing, or advanced production
• Experience with international supplier relationships and global supply chains
• Experience in project-oriented operations
• Knowledge in supplier development, risk management, or category management
• Experience with business systems and analysis tools related to purchasing
