Snäckebacksskolan is one of the municipality's two schools for grades 4-9. The school started operations during the autumn term in newly built, modern facilities and is centrally located in Ronneby, right next to the green area Snäckebacken. It is within walking distance to the city center, swimming pool, sports hall, and the beautiful Brunnsparken. It is also within walking distance to the railway station for those commuting from other locations.
At the secondary school level, full-time mentors are assigned to all classes.

As a full-time mentor, you are responsible for a group of students, which includes supporting and stimulating the students in their schoolwork. You will act as a link between home and school and conduct mentor and development meetings with students and guardians. Participation in various meetings such as parent meetings, investigative meetings, and contacts with e.g., Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP), Social Services, and the police when necessary is also included. Collaboration with teaching teachers and other school staff is an important part of creating a holistic view of the student.
The position is a temporary assignment of 50% during the next school year, and the form of employment is a reserve position (uppehållstjänst).
We prefer that you have an educational background as a teacher, educator, social pedagogue, or other education considered suitable for the assignment. Experience working with young people is meritorious. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
You should be independent, structured, and flexible as you plan your work according to the students' needs. Collaboration skills and social openness are important abilities in this work.
Good knowledge of Swedish, both oral and written, is a requirement.

Employment Type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer, Start Date: 2025-08-06 or as agreed.
