The Education Administration is one of Mjölby Municipality's six administrations and is responsible for preschool, compulsory school, upper secondary school, adapted compulsory and upper secondary school, and adult education. With approximately 1,000 employees, we offer education that promotes all children and students in lifelong learning and work according to the direction "high knowledge results in a school where everyone can and wants to be". We place great emphasis on working close to the operations through regular dialogue and support for school leaders and teachers based on the chain of command.

As a school nurse, you will work at one of our compulsory schools in Mjölby Municipality. The student health organization in the municipality consists of several professions that together form a strong student health team. As a school nurse, you will also be part of a team with other school nurses and school doctors. You will be stationed at one of the municipality's schools and primarily work targeted towards students at that specific unit.

DUTIES
As a school nurse, you work directly with the student and/or family in preventive work to promote health, which is the focus of student health services. You will perform health checks and simple healthcare interventions. As a school nurse, you offer reception services, open reception, which is part of general preventive and health-promoting work.

As a newly hired school nurse in Mjölby Municipality, you will receive an introduction and support from colleagues in a well-functioning team. The professional team meets continuously with a focus on quality development, and there is also an opportunity to support each other within the team.

You are a clear actor in the health preventive work directed at children and young people by society. You will further prescribe and administer vaccinations within the national vaccination program. You follow the students' development to preserve and improve their mental and physical health and promote healthy lifestyle habits. Together with the school's other professions, you support students towards educational goals and remove obstacles, partly through participation in the school's student health team meetings.

You may provide guidance and consultation to the school's other staff. As a school nurse, you collaborate with all parts of student health as well as external partners. The assignment is governed at the national level by the School Act and Health and Medical Care legislation, as well as the general advice and regulations from the National Board of Health and Welfare that are relevant to the medical intervention of student health.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are a registered nurse with specialist education as a district nurse, pediatric nurse, or school nurse. Specialist education as a school nurse is meritorious. A B driver's license is a requirement for the position.
