Do you want to make every day a little better for those who need it most? As a Support Pedagogue at Edsbergsvillan, you are an active part of the operations, working closely with children and young people with disabilities to create a safe and developmental daily life based on their needs and self-determination.
About the Job
As a Support Pedagogue, you support children and young people with various disabilities living at Edsbergsvillan. Here, you become part of their daily lives and create a safe and developmental environment where every individual is given the opportunity to grow based on their own prerequisites, wishes, and self-determination.
A large part of your working time is spent directly in the operations, working closely with both the residents and your colleagues. By being an active part of the daily work, you have the opportunity to develop and strengthen the pedagogical work on-site. You support, coach, and supervise your colleagues in their daily tasks to ensure that working methods create participation and independence for the residents. Your commitment contributes to high-quality care, and you actively work for an open and non-hierarchical climate where everyone can reflect and develop together.
As a Support Pedagogue, you are also part of a network with other Support Pedagogues to exchange experiences and develop in your role.
With us, you get a workplace characterized by joy, dedicated employees, good camaraderie, and visible leadership. As an employee, you are also offered benefits such as a generous wellness allowance and an Edenred lunch card (subsidized lunch). We also have a collective agreement.
The position is a permanent employment, with a possible probationary period, at approximately 80%, with a start date by agreement. Our operations determine the working hours, and for this position, the schedule includes days, evenings, and every other weekend. A portion of your working time is allocated for administrative tasks.
About You
To succeed in this job, we see that you have:
- Post-secondary specialization within the field of functional variations, comprising at least 200 YH credits or 60 university credits with a focus on pedagogy.
- Knowledge of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication).
- Knowledge of low-arousal approach (low-affective handling).
- Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
- Good computer skills and the ability to handle digital systems.
- Experience working with children who have disabilities.
To thrive in this role, you need a drive for development and the ability to inspire others to try new working methods. You see opportunities for improvement and contribute to an open work climate. With a strong focus on the residents, you put their needs at the center and create a meaningful and safe daily life.
You work closely with both the residents and your colleagues and are relationship-building, sensitive, and inclusive. You are communicative, express yourself clearly in speech and writing, and contribute to good collaboration through active listening and feedback. You are also service-oriented, solution-focused, and take initiative to ensure that the residents receive safe and high-quality care.
