About the Role

As a Linux technician, you will work in the team responsible for the Linux servers in Tele2's data centers within the B2B sector. Together, the team works diligently to ensure the business's requirements are met. As a Linux technician, you will work with large-scale environments and have a good understanding of both deployment, patching, and OS operations. The role also includes being a ticket master. The position can be based primarily in Stockholm, Malmö, Gothenburg, or other locations in Sweden and includes on-call duties.

As a Linux technician at Tele2, your responsibilities include:

• Daily operations for external and internal customers.
• Automation of daily operations.
• Management of internal infrastructure such as DNS, SMTP, monitoring, file servers, etc.
• Design of solutions for customers.
• Design of internal infrastructure.

To succeed in this job, we believe you have previous experience with:

• Working with large data center operations.
• Working with clustered and high-availability environments.
• Extensive knowledge regarding the operation of Linux OS (Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu, and Debian).
• Knowledge of automation and scripting in corporate environments, preferably knowledge in Ansible.
• Oral and written communication skills in both English and Swedish.

Knowledge of the following products is advantageous but not a requirement:

• OP5.
• Python.
• Hypervisors (VMware, Hyper-V, and Nutanix AHV).
• Red Hat products (RHEL, Satellite, Ansible Tower, and OpenShift).
