Newsec offers property owners, investors, and tenants a comprehensive range of services within Property Asset Management and Advisory. Since its founding in 1994, Newsec has grown to approximately 2,500 employees active across the seven Nordic and Baltic markets and is today Sweden's leading property manager. We are now looking for a Technical Property Manager to join our team in Malmö.

About the role

As a Technical Property Manager, you work to best fulfill the client's objectives as outlined in the management agreement. You are responsible for driving and developing the technical maintenance of assigned properties, including economics, operations, cleaning, security, recycling, and energy savings in both the short and long term, while meeting clients' quality and environmental goals.

Examples of other responsibilities include:

  • Operational responsibility for creating maintenance plans and conducting/performing maintenance inspections.
  • Operational responsibility for procurement and control of ongoing and planned maintenance, ensuring that current properties have the most environmentally friendly and cost-effective contractor agreements.
  • Operational responsibility for operation and maintenance budgets and forecasts in consultation with the Contract Manager.
  • Responsible for purchasing, quality assurance, and evaluation of framework agreement and project-specific suppliers.
  • Responsible for continuous customer care towards clients and tenants.
  • Strategic responsibility for occupational health and safety, systematic fire safety work, authority inspections, safety rounds, and compliance with laws.

The position is a permanent employment with an initial probationary period of 6 months, based in Malmö.

Your profile

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Relevant post-secondary education in property management or equivalent work experience
  • Several years of technical property experience within operations and maintenance
  • Good knowledge of economics and budgeting
  • Experience in quality and environmental work
  • Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Valid driver's license (Category B)

Meritorious qualifications:

  • Good understanding of how technical installations function and interact
  • Experience working with different types of properties, e.g., commercial, residential, and care facilities
