Your role with us

The position as a Specialist Training Doctor (ST-läkare) includes examining, investigating, assessing, and treating patients. You are an important part of the development of the operations and help drive the clinic's work forward.

Here, you receive good supervision from experienced colleagues and have great opportunities to shape your own plan and develop special interests. We strive to make your education as rewarding and interesting as possible to give you the knowledge and experience you need for your future work as a specialist in general practice. The ST-doctors have regular joint and highly appreciated meetings for further education and reflection together with the study director.

About the workplace

Getinge Health Centre consists of a doctor's and district nurse clinic, sample collection, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, psychology, Child Health Centre (BVC), and specialist clinics for asthma/COPD, diabetes, and smoking cessation. Getinge Health Centre collaborates closely with the sister health centre Bäckagård. The health centres share working methods and values and continuously strive to develop collaborative gains. Getinge is a rural health centre, while Bäckagård is located on the outskirts of Halmstad centre. We have the privilege of close collaboration with our R&D unit as well as TILMA, which works with drug dependence.

The health centres offer a pleasant and family-like atmosphere where everyone in the team helps each other. We place great emphasis on personal suitability, where you are expected to put the "team" first. We work together for the patient's health, and you contribute to the patient experiencing contact with us as simple and welcoming.

About you

We are looking for you who are a licensed physician and have a genuine interest in general practice. Completed/approved Internship (AT) or Basic Training (BT) is a requirement.

In addition to good medical competence and attention to detail, we place great emphasis on personal qualities such as engagement, versatility, and good interpersonal skills. You are expected to have a positive and professional attitude towards patients and colleagues. Furthermore, we see that you as a person are responsible and proactive. You bring competence and joy of work to our health centre, which we also hope to give you. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
