RESPONSIBILITIES

The Property Department at Carlanderska Hospital is responsible for all property maintenance and cleaning within the building. The department employs building maintenance technicians, operations technicians, and cleaners who, together with the unit manager and section leader, collaborate closely with each other and the customers in the building. In addition to ongoing work and larger projects, most of the daily work is managed through orders in the case management system. Each building maintenance technician works independently with incoming cases and seeks help from colleagues when needed. Both collaboration and communication play a vital role in the work and well-being.

As a building maintenance technician, you will perform property-related maintenance and service work, both indoors and outdoors. This may include building maintenance, simple carpentry work, painting, and moving furniture. It may also involve troubleshooting and resolving issues within the building, transporting materials, waste management, and assisting with inspections, renovations, and installations. Outdoors, the work may involve trimming hedges, maintaining the park, performing gardening tasks, and keeping the hospital entrances slip-free and clear of obstacles.

In the case management system, incoming and resolved property cases are reported. Communication also takes place directly with customers, suppliers, and contractors. The close collaboration within the Property Department is a key success factor in the department's work and a valuable support for everyone in the building.

Carlanderska Hospital is located in a beautiful park, where the largest building dates back to the 1920s and the newer one from 2017. This presents exciting challenges for the Property Department and requires building maintenance technicians to have knowledge and curiosity, as well as the ability to adapt plans, make urgent interventions, and find solutions. The work is sometimes physically demanding.

The position is a permanent full-time employment, with working hours on weekdays from 07:00 to 16:00. Probation period applies.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have a high school education and at least three years of experience in property maintenance. A B-class driver's license is required. You must also be able to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing (level B). Otherwise, you are interested in property maintenance, both indoors and outdoors, accustomed to finding practical solutions, and able to adapt when unexpected situations arise. You have broad knowledge of property management, are handy, and have the physical prerequisites to handle the work.

It may be an advantage if you have completed practical training in property, construction, or infrastructure, but it is not a requirement. The work requires training in fire safety and infrastructure maintenance. If you do not already have this training, you will receive it at Carlanderska. Other training required within the scope of your employment will also be provided at Carlanderska.

As a person, you are responsible and can easily see how your efforts contribute to Carlanderska delivering safe and good care. Furthermore, you are service-oriented, meticulous, and have good collaboration skills. In your work at Carlanderska, you will meet people in different phases of life; therefore, it is particularly important that you have a good attitude towards everyone, both patients, customers, and colleagues in the building.
