Mälarbacken is a care and nursing home for people over 65 years old. At Mälarbacken, 282 people live with different orientations, including dementia, somatic, psychiatric profile housing, as well as short-term and respite care. Mälarbacken is an academic node, which means we receive students for practice-based education. We collaborate with universities/colleges and the Elderly Care Administration. Mälarbacken is located in a beautiful natural area, easily accessible by car, bus, or subway.

Welcome to work with us at Mälarbacken Unit 8B. We are a lovely and positive team focused on our target group. We enjoy challenges and have skilled nurses and nursing assistants on the unit who constantly work on our priority areas. You will be responsible for the care of 8-9 residents.

We offer

Mälarbacken has its own method room where nurses from all units hold monthly training sessions on various themes. This allows for both theory and practical application for potential delegation as well as competence development.

Your role

Standard nursing duties with HSL (Health and Social Care Act) responsibility. The assignment involves teamwork. Nurses lead nursing staff, delegate tasks, follow up on them, and participate in the development of the unit together with the unit manager. The units have 26 apartments, and all residents have a dementia diagnosis. There are 1-2 nurses working during daytime and evenings. During evenings and weekends, the units are combined. During evenings and weekends, you are responsible for staffing the units.

Your competence and experience

You are a registered nurse. Additional education in geriatrics is meritorious.

You have the ability to see the big picture, are relationship-building, and possess empathetic skills in your professional practice towards residents and their relatives. You are structured in your work and quality-conscious in your HSL duties. You are clear and informative.
