The Rheumatology Clinic is one of several operations within the Heart, Neurology, and Rehabilitation area. Our operations are located at Remonthagen, approximately 2 km from Östersund Hospital. Östersunds Rehab Centre also houses a rehabilitation ward, outpatient rehabilitation, and a pain unit.
The Rheumatology Clinic is a specialist clinic for the investigation, care, and treatment of patients with confirmed or suspected rheumatic inflammatory disease. The unit consists of a comprehensive outpatient service and has access to an inpatient ward on the rehabilitation department when inpatient care is needed. Our operations consist of a multidisciplinary team comprising doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, medical secretaries, and nursing assistants at our own laboratory. Outpatient care is provided in the form of individual visits, day care, and some group activities.

At the Rheumatology Clinic, there are currently three specialists and one ST (specialization training) doctor. Our work consists of assessing, investigating, and treating patients with inflammatory joint and systemic diseases. The position as a resident doctor involves clinical work with continuous supervision and recurring structured assessments of competence development in accordance with SOSFS 2015:8 or HSLF-FS 2021:8. During your employment, you will see patients with a broad spectrum of rheumatological diseases. The resident position will be carried out in a manner similar to specialization training (ST).
We are looking for you who are a licensed doctor with completed basic training (BT) or general practice training (AT). Previous experience in rheumatology is an advantage. We value flexibility, teamwork skills, the ability to prioritize different tasks, and the ability to work independently under supervision. You will work both in a team and individually. Personal suitability is given great importance.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer.
Start date: 2026-05-01 or by agreement.
End date: 2026-12-31.
