Hörnefors Central School is a preschool to grade 9 school with approximately 400 students. The school is beautifully located at the edge of the forest, a stone's throw from the sea. Here, access is available to a swimming hall, artificial turf field, and ski tracks. The pedagogical work is characterized by conscious leadership, engagement, and collaboration between staff, students, parents, and after-school care. The focus is on safety and learning. We are now looking for an Assistant Teacher (Elevassistent) for our school!

Employment Information

The position is a fixed-term appointment, part-time 85 %, starting 2026-08-13 and ending 2026-12-18.

Your Responsibilities

As an assistant teacher, you provide individual support to students in their learning based on given instructions and contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment. You collaborate with teachers and other staff regarding the student's needs and support students with structure, focus, and participation in teaching. The role also includes being an adult support in the school's daily life, a resource in the classroom and after-school care, and assisting during breaks or other activities as needed. The tasks are adapted to the needs of the operations and the students.

About You

You are a secure adult and a good role model who easily connects with students and sees each individual. You create a safe and stimulating environment at school and collaborate effectively with colleagues to achieve common goals. As a person, you are flexible, clear, and structured. You enjoy working with children who need special support and are an important part of their school day. You have good teamwork skills, are receptive, and communicate professionally with both students, relatives, and other actors around the students. You are engaged, share our values, and work towards set goals with a focus on continuous improvements. Personal suitability is very important to us.

Requirements

• Experience working in a school or after-school care center
• Valid extract from the criminal record
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing
