Fryshuset enables young people to change the world through their passions. We create communities where young people are seen, heard, and valued – from culture and sports to social projects that meet society's challenges.

Fisksätra Youth Centre is part of Fryshuset's operations in Nacka and targets young people aged 13–19. The youth centre is a safe meeting place where young people can explore their interests, build relationships, and develop as individuals. We work in a supportive and relationship-based manner, focusing on ensuring that young people feel seen, heard, and have the opportunity to influence their daily lives.

About the role

As a hourly-paid youth worker responsible for music activities, you work closely with the young people and help build a vibrant operation with a special focus on inspiring, mentoring, and supporting young people in music and music production.

The position involves working approximately 5–10 hours per week. You work 1–2 evenings per week, occasionally on Fridays or Saturdays.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• Operational work with the target group during evenings and sometimes weekends
• Plan, market, implement, and follow up on activities within music and music production
• Mentoring, coaching, and relationship-building work with young people
• Ensure that the centre's music studio and equipment function properly and are handled correctly
• Collaborate with colleagues in Fisksätra as well as with other operations within Fryshuset to create more opportunities for young people to grow and develop within music

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with young people and music. You have an inclusive and norm-conscious approach. You are communicative, confident in yourself, and have an easy time building relationships. You are proactive, creative, and have good teamwork skills.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience working with young people
• Competence in music and music production

Merits:

• Youth worker education or other relevant education (can be ongoing)
• Experience leading music activities for young people
• Knowledge of norm-criticism and inclusive interaction
• Experience organizing events

Job summary:

• Scope: Needs-based employment, 1–2 shifts per week (evening/weekend)
• Start date: August 17 (some flexibility exists)
