Job Description

As Club Director, you have overall responsibility for IK Oskarshamn's operational activities, economy, and long-term development. You lead the entire organization and create structures that enable both stability and continued growth.

In this role, you work closely with the board and serve as a connecting link between the administrative organization and the sporting activities. You represent the association externally and are an important ambassador in contact with partners, media, and society.

Your assignment includes among other things:

  • Lead, develop, and structure the organization, working methods, and internal processes
  • Further develop the association's culture and strengthen internal collaboration
  • Ensure a stable and long-term economy in balance with sporting goals
  • Drive commercial development and strengthen relationships with partners and business life
  • Create good conditions for the entire operation – from youth to elite
  • Represent the association in external contexts

Achieving the association's goals requires long-term, structured, and goal-oriented work. You are responsible for breaking down vision and strategy into clear plans that are anchored in the entire organization and followed up based on a common goal image. In an elite operation where conditions can change quickly, you ensure that the operation is characterized by good control, clear follow-up, and strong initiative. This creates conditions for working proactively and making well-founded decisions in a high-tempo environment.

You have a good understanding of what it means to lead and develop an operation where employees, entrepreneurs, partners, and voluntary forces collaborate – often with different driving forces, but with a common goal. An important part of the assignment is also to further develop the arena experience. Here you drive work that combines creativity, business acumen, and environmental scanning, with the ambition to create an experience that engages, surprises, and maintains the highest quality – every time.

Finally, in this role, you are a key person in the collaboration with the association's board. You report regularly and ensure good transparency in matters important to the board's mission. For this to work well, the collaboration is characterized by openness, clear communication, and strong mutual trust, where you actively keep the board informed and involved in the development of the operation.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a secure, clear, and relationship-building leader with the ability to navigate in an environment with high tempo, engagement, and many stakeholders.

You have a genuine interest in sports and extensive experience in leading a business-oriented and development-oriented operation, where you have had full result and personnel responsibility. Experience from the association sector, where voluntary forces play a central role, is highly meritorious.

Your leadership is characterized by clarity, responsiveness, and humility. You have a natural ability to create engagement and get people to gather around common goals and take the next step together. At the same time, you are comfortable in an agile working method where you can be flexible and quick in decision-making without losing direction in the long-term work.

You have strong social engagement and thrive in an operation where engagement, identity, and belonging play an important role. As a communicator, you are secure and professional, and you ensure that information is handled transparently and trust-building towards members, media, and other stakeholders.

We also see that you have:

  • Several years of experience from a leading role with responsibility for operations, budget, and personnel
  • Documented experience in developing organizations and driving change work
  • Strong business understanding and experience in commercial work and/or partner relations
  • Good communication skills, in Swedish, both spoken and written
  • Good IT skills, primarily within MS Office
