In January 2024, the Trauma Clinic for Sexual Health opened in Malmö, a nationally unique facility located at Skåne University Hospital. Our mission is to provide medical and psychological care on a regional level to individuals who have experienced sexual abuse, as well as to function as a knowledge center. Our team consists of general practitioners, midwives, psychologists, counselors, and medical secretaries. We continuously work to develop our operations and to inform healthcare colleagues as well as citizens within Region Skåne about our work. Here, you are offered continuous supervision, further education, and the opportunity to develop care for victims of sexual violence.

In addition to functioning as a clinical clinic, the Trauma Clinic has a knowledge center mandate within the area of sexual violence and ill-health, with the aim of collecting and disseminating knowledge and coordinating nearby actors.

As a Specialist in General Medicine, you will play a central role in the continued development of the medical function at the clinic. Through your general medical competence, you will assess ill-health following sexual abuse in patients aged 16 and over and be responsible for appropriate medical interventions. In the medical role, you will make general medical assessments, be active in formulating rehabilitation plans, offer medical treatment, and have an important advisory function towards other staff. You are also expected to participate in the development of the clinic's routines and play a central role in the clinic's knowledge center mandate. This may include participating in network meetings and helping to develop guidelines and care programs for the target group.
You are a licensed physician with the eligibility to practice in Swedish healthcare. Furthermore, you have specialist competence in general medicine. Proficiency in Swedish at least equivalent to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement. You must have completed or planned a course in clinical supervision.
It is meritorious if you have experience working with victims of sexual violence, domestic violence, or patients with post-traumatic reactions. It is also meritorious if you have advanced knowledge or experience in gynecology, infectious diseases, psychiatry, or addiction medicine.
We are particularly looking for you with good social skills and a strong ability to meet people in difficult situations in a professional and empathetic manner. It is an advantage if you have a commitment to vulnerable groups and an openness to developing in your role. As we are keen to find the right person for the position, we place great emphasis on personal suitability.
At a university healthcare unit, physicians are required to have pedagogical experience and education. This you may have acquired through supervising, for example, nursing and medical students as well as doctors in training, and as a co-supervisor or main supervisor for doctoral students. Clearly describe in your application completed or planned pedagogical courses, experience of supervision and teaching at different levels.
